SMA series connectors
SMA (SubMiniature version A) connectors are semi-precision, subminiature devices that provide repeatable electrical performance from DC to 12.4 GHz with flexible cable. The SMA connector features screw-type coupling. Semi-Rigid cabling extends the frequency range of the device to 18GHz. SMA connectors offer broadband performance with low reflections and constant 50 ohm impedance. These properties, along with minimum attenuation and low VSWR have made the SMA connector extremely popular in the microwave community. LTI SMA connectors are designed to conform to MIL-C-39012 specifications.
The SMA connector design has been broadened to accomodate many interconnect requirements and is available in cable crimp, cable clamp, and solder terminal attachments. LTI SMA connectors are also available for Bulkhead or Printed Circuit Board (PC board) mount. PCB mounting includes end launch and thru hole connectors. SMA connector design parameters have incorporated the considerations of balancing cost, size, weight, and performance to yield the best value in your microwave system. Among typical applications are wireless industry standards. Antenna Connectors for Zigbee, WiMax, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID, MIMO, LAN and UWB, as well as components such as dividers, mixers, amplifiers, trimmers and attenuators just to name a few.
